Bennett Hollberg Atlanta native Bennett Hollberg brings over 10 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to the kitchen of Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse. As executive chef, he is responsible for all kitchen operations, training, food purchasing, payroll administration and menu and recipe development.

After graduating from The Paideia School in Atlanta, Hollberg attended Furman University in Greenville, SC. His education soon took a dramatic turn when he decided to move across the country to pursue his culinary career at The Art Institute of Seattle, where he graduated with an associate’s degree in Applied Arts in 2000. Hollberg then went on to work in some of Seattle’s finest restaurants including Campagne, an award-winning French bistro located in Pike Place Market and The Hunt Club, a fine dining Mediterranean restaurant located inside the Sorrento Hotel. In 2002, he moved back to Atlanta and took an apprentice position at The Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead. A year later, Hollberg was promoted to chef de partie and soon became the restaurant’s sous chef. In 2006, he began working as the chef de cuisine for The Atlanta Grill located inside the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Atlanta. In this position, Hollberg was responsible for menu development, kitchen staff management and payroll administration. During his time there, Atlanta Grill was named “Best Restaurant Downtown” by Zagat for 2008-2009 and

Hollberg’s cuisine was recognized by several publications including The Atlanta Journal- Constitution, Jezebel Magazine, Southern Seasons Magazine and Georgia Trend. He was alsonamed one of Atlanta Magazine’s “Rising Star Chefs” in 2008.

At Davio’s, Hollberg’s goal is to use the restaurant’s well-established recipe for success and apply it to the Philadelphia location. He believes that with his experience and Davio’s commitment to high-quality food, he will create a dining experience that all Philadelphians are sure to enjoy.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, gardening, trying new restaurants and spending time with his family.
