Rocco Cima is a born and raised South Philadelphian who found quickly a love for food. When Rocco was just 8 years old, he would sell food out front of his house when his parents went to work. At age 13, he got his first job in a local family owned restaurant and quickly moved up the ranks. Rocco’s passion helped him decide to go to The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College.
While in college, Rocco's life took a 360, and he ended up landing a radio internship in 2002. Rocco quickly gained popularity and fame in Philadelphia, and in 2003, his boss gave him his own show. He still has it to this day and is the longest tenure dj on WIOQ/Q102 Philadelphia.
Rocco did a lot of traveling with the radio and developed a great passion for the west coast organic concepts typically seen in California. In 2009 Rocco opened his first restaurant, FUEL, in the start of the restaurant boom on East Passyunk Avenue. Fuel took off with huge popularity, winning both local and national awards, and has been named a Trendsetter by AOL.com. In 2010, Rocco decided to expand and open a large Center City Fuel at 1225 Walnut Street. Fuel has become a way of life, and in 2012 Rocco opened his new Fuel To Go concept at 1650 Arch Street in Philadelphia. Rocco is now in negotiations with several franchisees to bring FUEL to a national audience.
