A veteran in the world of the culinary arts, Jerome Seeney has been working his craft for 26 years. Presently a chef for Philadelphia’s leading corporate caterer, Jack Kramer’s Catering, he has worked for several area restaurants and participated in local culinary events. One of Philadelphia’s best kept secrets, Jerome has participated in the once popular “Book and the Cook” event assisting celebrity chefs Martin Yan and Sam Choy with their evenings of sharing. He has also been a culinary contributor to several charitable fundraising events sponsored by local churches and organizations and has had recipes published in Philadelphia Flavor. As an active member of the American Culinary Federation, Jerome will soon start the process to achieve the designation of Certified Executive Chef.
Jerome started his cooking career as a chef’s apprentice for a small Mexican restaurant in Old City, Philadelphia. As his skills improved, he went on to be chef, kitchen manager of two national restaurant locations in Philadelphia and one in Secaucus, NJ. During that time he completed chef and management training with Cutters Grand Café [RUI Corp] and continued on to become associate chef with the Philadelphia Fish Company with chef/owner Kevin Meeker. Always looking to improve, Jerome then joined the team at Jack Kramer’s, where he’s been performing culinary magic for the past 16 years.
Jerome is the true definition of the word “foodie.” He has a passion for the beauty of the ingredients he uses in his recipes and he is tirelessly focused on staying current with the latest culinary trends with a special interest in international cuisines. An avid reader of recipe books and books on culinary technique, he hopes to one day pen his own cookbook.
