Become a Volunteer!

The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness truly values its volunteers! Nearly 700 people from all parts of the United States are helping the NFCA raise awareness of celiac disease and the gluten-free diet. Whether they are hosting cupcake parties or distributing the “Do I Have Celiac” brochures, they are the single biggest factor in the success of our national awareness campaign.

Everyday more and more of the 3 million Americans who have celiac disease are learning what the disease is, getting tested for it and getting diagnosed. But our work isn’t even close to complete and we always need more help. After all, 95% of the people who do have celiac are undiagnosed.

Here’s how you can get involved!

Cupcake Parties

Cupcake parties are a fun, easy and yummy way to support NFCA and raise money and awareness for celiac disease! All you have to do is pick a date and Pamela’s Products will send you the party kit. Then invite everyone you know and let the good times roll!

Brochure Distribution

It is part of NFCA’s mission to get those who may have undiagnosed celiac disease tested and diagnosed. Our biggest tool in doing so is our “Do I Have Celiac” brochures, which volunteers have left in thousands of doctors offices, grocery stores and pharmacies across the country.

Personal Stories

One of the most powerful tools that we have in the fight to raise celiac awareness is the personal story of those with it. These stories tell the public – in a way unlike any other- the impact that celiac disease has on an individual’s life. Tell us yours!

Gluten-Free Cooking Sprees

Doctors and chefs cooking together? It may sound a little crazy, but that’s what happens at NFCA’s signature event series, the Gluten-Free Cooking Spree, and we need your help to make it happen! We put chefs, doctors and other medical professionals on cooking teams who then compete to make the best gluten-free meal. In the process, they learn all about celiac disease and the gluten-free diet. We need your help to recruit the participants, sell ads, staff the event and much more!
