ABC Nightline: Gluten-Free Diet Not for Everyone

11/5/2010

Celebrity attention has made gluten-free the newest diet craze, but going gluten-free isn't a wise choice for everyone. In this report from ABC's "Nightline," Dr. Peter Green explains that individuals who eliminate gluten from their diet may also lose out on important nutrients like vitamin B. For those who do not suffer from celiac disease, the gluten-free diet may not be worth the risk.

The video segment also includes an interview with Elisabeth Hasselbeck, co-host of "The View," who went gluten-free after being diagnosed with celiac disease.
