NFCA spokeswoman and Athlete for Awareness Sarah Jane Smith continued her streak of top five finishes on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) tour, finishing 3rd at the Royal Canberra Ladies Classic earlier this week.

Sarah shared the lead at one point during the tournament, following an impressive first round performance.

From the Sydney Morning Herald:

With a little help from her caddie, and husband, Duane, unheralded Queenslander Sarah-Jane Smith took a share of the lead on the opening day of the $125,000 Royal Canberra Ladies Classic.

Smith shot the lights out on a birdie-friendly Royal Canberra layout to end the day on seven-under 66 to be tied with defending Australian Masters champion Katherine Hull.

Golfers Kristie Smith and Katherine Hull took the top two spots at the Royal Canberra Ladies Classic.
