Kendra Nielsam is competing in the Ironman Florida 2009. 90 days after registering for her first Ironman triathlon a blood test revealed she had a gluten allergy. Further testing discovered she had celiac disease. Now in addition to taking on the challenge of the Ironman triathlon while adjusting to a gluten-free diet, she is also taking on the challenge of raising money and awareness for celiac disease as the newest NFCA Athlete for Awareness.

Learn more about Kendra in her full post , Athlete for Awareness: me!.
