The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) and Athlete for Awareness Peter Bronski are teaming up to award scholarships to gluten-free student athletes and campus leaders.
Every year, Athlete for Awareness Peter Bronski runs an ultramarathon in support of the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA). Over the past three years, Pete has raised more than $9,000 to help fund NFCA’s free patient programs and services. This year, Pete and NFCA are teaming up to raise money for a brand new scholarship program, initiated by Pete himself, in support of gluten-free athletes and student leaders.
Pete’s dedication to inspiring others to lead a healthy and active gluten-free lifestyle inspired him to start the scholarship program alongside NFCA. The goal of the program is to award three scholarships to college students who exemplify the healthy and active lifestyle habits.
The three scholarships being awarded are:
- The Peter Bronski Gluten-Free Athlete Scholarship (one for a male and one for a female)
- The Peter Bronski Gluten-Free Leader Scholarship (for any student that demonstrates leadership on their college campus in promoting a healthy gluten-free lifestyle.)
The goal is to have the scholarships awarded to the three students in spring 2014. Pete is calling for donations, large or small, to be made to the fund in support of gluten-free students. You can learn more about Pete’s scholarship goals on his blog, No Gluten, No Problem.
100% of donations made will directly support the scholarship program. Those interested in donating can do so here.
NFCA thanks Pete Bronski for his help in supporting gluten-free students. Thank you to all who have donated already – your support will directly make these scholarships a possibility!
