Dr. Jeffrey LewisDr. Jeffery Lewis

Dr. Jeffery Lewis is a pediatric gastroenterologist in practice in Atlanta, GA since 1996 at GI Care for Kids and is an adjunct assistant professor of pediatrics at Emory.  He and his associates provide GI care at Children's Health Care of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.  His practice includes 13 full time pediatric gastroenterologists with offices throughout metro Atlanta and North Georgia.  Recognizing that there was limited local community support for families dealing with celiac disease, in 2005, with Danna Korn's permission, he founded the first ROCK chapter in Georgia.  Together with families in the ROCK group, Camp Weekaneatit was created  in 2008.  Camp Weekaneatit is a gluten free summer camp for kids with celiac disease and their siblings age 8 to 17 in association with Camp Twin Lakes.  Enrollment has been growing each year with campers not only from Georgia but also Florida, Alabama, the Carolinas and in 2012, one family from California.
