Melissa's Story of Gratitude

My daughter, Samantha, was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2012.  She had just turned six years old.  I had never heard of this disease and felt very overwhelmed by the process of getting my daughter on the road to good health.  I had two good friends who introduced me to Kristine DeCourcey, another woman in our town who has celiac disease along with her daughter, Hannah.  Kristine has been an immeasurable blessing in our lives!  She was never more than a Facebook message away whenever I had a question (and I had a LOT of them in the beginning!) and constantly reassured me that it would get easier as time went on.  She has always been patient and completely understanding.  We have teamed up together to help make Samantha’s dream of bringing a 5k fundraising event to New Hampshire to help raise money for a cure for celiac disease!  The Making Tracks for Celiacs NH 5k  Run/Walk and Vendor fair will be May 10, 2014 in Merrimack, NH and it wouldn’t have been possible without Kristine.  I will always be grateful to her for sharing her knowledge and expertise with our family and making our transition to being gluten-free so much easier.  THANK YOU, KRISTINE!  Much love from the entire Laflotte family!  Xo
