No Symptoms

While some individuals suffer severe gastrointestinal distress, migraines, dental problems and other symptoms of celiac disease, up to 38% of diagnosed celiacs had no signs at all. For these individuals, diagnosis may come too late, after related conditions like thyroid disease, osteoporosis or cancer set in.

As these stories show, when symptoms aren't there, awareness may be the only path to diagnosis.
