Mother-daughter team raises awareness about celiac disease and Type 1 diabetes.
Donna Bell learned she had celiac disease around the same time her young daughter, Evey--who also suffers from Type 1 diabetes--was diagnosed. Since then, the Bells have become leaders in spreading celiac awareness. Among their accomplishments, the Bells started a support group for parents of children with both celiac disease and Type 1 diabetes. The family also organized "Team Celiac," which participates in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s annual Walk to Cure Diabetes.
The Bells just released their latest project--a video about Evey's daily life as a Type 1 diabetic. Watch it in our Videos section.
